Some people think that too much money has been spent looking after and repairing old buildings. They suggest we should knock down old buildings and build modern ones. Do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays it is a common practice that old buildings are replaced with multi-storied modern buildings. Some would argue that old buildings should be preserved. Whether ancient buildings are knock down to construct modern building or not is a controversial issue for discussion. However, i feel that old buildings should not knock down.In the following paragraphs i will explain the reasons of my opinion.

Old buildings are very important because of many reasons. To begin with, ancient buildings have a traditional look, they are totally different from modern buildings. Modern buildings are almost similar in both size and shape, every ancient buildings, however, have a uniqueness. For instance, nowadays, most of the houses have similar lay out with a living room, kitchen and bedrooms, and its position relatively same.On top of this, they are the hard-work of our ancestors. To be more precise, ancestors had faced a lot of difficulties while constructing these buildings. This is because, in older days, technologies were not developed as it is in today. So, it is our responsibility to respect their hard work.

In addition, in many countries tourism industry is very successful because of its ancient buildings and monuments. For instance, in India,a favourite tourist destination for many sightseers, famous for monuments such as taj-mahal,kuthab meenar and so on.Thus government can encourage the tourism industry by protecting old However, some would argue that it is very difficult to look after old buildings and it needs too much money.Even if the money has to be spent, it would not be long lasting ,and further repairments need without any delay. So it is better to built up a new one.But no one could deny that many valuable things such as wooden sealing would be destroyed. these items have high market value.

To conclude, the government and people understood about the importance of ancient buildings.Despite the benefits of construct the new buildings instead of older ones, i believe that old buildings have to preserved because it can improve our economy through tourism industry, at the same time, we can respect the hard work of our fore-fathers.

Hello and welcome to Writefix!

Some good ideas here, and generally a well-organized essay.

Introduction

I would make some small changes. I would delete the third sentence, give the other side of the situation or problem, and give specific examples. Finally, in the Thesis sentence, instead of just using a sentence that you could drop into any essay, I would specify what you are going to discuss in this essay.

Nowadays it is a common practice that old buildings are replaced with multi-storied modern buildings. Some would argue that old buildings should be preserved. (Why?) Whether ancient buildings are knock down to construct modern building or not is a controversial issue for discussion. However, i feel that old buildings should not be knocked down. (Why?) In the following paragraphs i will explain the reasons of my opinion

This could be rewritten as:

Nowadays old buildings are often replaced with multi-story modern buildings. This can be because the old buildings are no longer functional or practical, or because more money can be made from modern developments. However, I feel that old buildings should not be knocked down before considering their historic importance and their value for tourism. In this essay, I will outline the cultural and financial benefits of preserving some older buildings.

The body paragraphs have some good ideas. In Paragraph Three, you give too much detail (talking about ceilings, for example) towards the end – it might be better to have a new point such as how money from tourism can pay for the preservation of historic buildings.

Your conclusion is fine. I would change the tense of the word "understood" in Line 1 –  do they really understand?
