What is the ICDL?

The ICDL is a recognised standard certificate for everyone who uses a computer at home or work.

Your ICDL shows employers that you know basic and important IT skills. It shows you are confident using a PC and standard computer software applications.

Over 2 million people worldwide have obtained  the ICDL. Governments, multinational corporations, companies, universities, ministries and schools want their employees to increase their skills by taking the certificate. Grandmothers of 80 and children of 8 have taken the test: in Ireland 5% and in Sweden 4% of the entire population have passed. In the UK, 1.2 million workers in the hospitals and health system are due to take the test.
