Writing task 1 (a letter)

A reporter complained about a new TV program that you like. Write a letter to the newspaper editor.

- Describe your point of view.
- Say what you like about the show and why.
- Ask the newspaper to take some action.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing in connection with the report of James Klark about Opera show in ABC channel on July8.

As you know, Opera show is one of the most successful programs being broadcasted in the area of family life and issues. I have followed all of the previously shown programs demonstrating the real efforts of them to help and solve family problems especially psychological ones in our society.

I would like to mention that psychological disorders are the main causes of today’s family breakdown. This TV show tries to address family problem by using real cases in front of audience to talk or answer questions. Recent survey has done by Twitter shows the high popularity of this program between TV viewers, especially young couples.

I do not want to say it has not any negative points, but we can improve them. For example, some adultery issues mentioned by Mr. James may cause sensitivity for religious people.

 I would like to kindly ask you to reflect the positive aspects of this show in your newspaper, since many people have found it useful program for our current family and social life.
