Tea is a popular beverage which originates from China. The documented health benefits of tea include preventing cancer and treatment of heart disease. This report will describe how tea is produced.

The manufacturing process of tea includes several steps. Initially, leaves are plucked to ensure the freshest leaves. Then they are fed into the rolling machine for two to three hours so that it releases juices from leaves. After rolling, they are put on shelves where they remain for five hours in order to allow fermentation . Afterwards, the fermented leaves are sent to the firing machine with the purpose of drying them. Next they are cut, sifted, sorted and graded at the same time. Subsequently, buyers try the flavour of tea to estimate quality, and sellers auction tea to get the highest price. Before being exported, it is stored in chests. Finally, tea is sent to the packing machine so that it packs tea into small packets.

Hello Kevin and welcome to Writefix!

We don't have many Task 1 graph/chart/process/cycle examples here. I might start a separate forum where people can upload them and comment on each others' writing

Anyway, here's a quick review. Really, there are very few mistakes, and it's already 157 words, so well done!

Agreement (Subject/Verb) and consistent Subject

Then they are fed into the rolling machine for two to three hours so that it releases juices from leaves.

It's not really wrong, but it's a little confusing:

  1. Then they are fed into the rolling machine for two to three hours to release the juices from the leaves. OR
  2. Then they are fed into the rolling machine for two to three hours so that their leaves release juice from leaves.

Finally, the tea is sent to the packing machine to be packed into small packets.

(I don't like having so many words from the 'pack' family but what can we do?!

Task 1: 150 words

Sometimes people wonder how to make 150 words out of a simple process. You can always write about the Place:

  1. The next stage takes place in the warehouse
  2. After being painted, the cups are sent to the kiln
  3. Before they are sent to plants all over Asia for assembly, the parts are tested and checked for quality.

...and you can describe the Time

  1. This stage takes about three days.
  2. Usually, drying lasts only a few seconds.
  3. The lasers cut through the metal in just a few seconds
  4. Fermentation can take several weeks.

Thanks Kevin!  Hope you can comment on some other people's writing here!
