There are three interesting essays in the forum on the meaning of happiness. What do you think of them? Which ideas appeal to you? If you were an IELTS writing examiner, would you look at the interesting ideas, the grammar, the organization?

  • Alison   ... "the dazzling and luxurious handbags of Chanel"
  • Naheed   ..."receiving a red rose from a loved one"
  • Linh  ..."it's the nature of man to be greedy"

You can vote on an essay using the stars at the top right of each essay, once you are logged in. But why not compare the three essays here? Chat about each one! What makes you happy, in the short term and long term?

(I notice all three are by female writers. Any guys out there want to write about happiness?!!)

Hi everyone

Two essays from male writers!

  • Brian has taken up the challenge, and written an essay on why people have different view of happiness. You can see his essay here
  • And another writer, Youtthasack has also worked very hard to bring you his view of happiness. Have a look

Do you think male writers' viewpoints on happiness are substantially different from those of women writers?

Hi everyone

Here's another essay, from Radha, on what happiness means to her. She suggests you need health, wealth and wisdom.
